miniAlt25K Dual Event Altimeter

The miniAlt25K is a flexible, full function altimeter intended for mid to high power rockets. Just slightly larger than the microAlt series, the miniAlt25K features more flexible power, mounting, and deployment options making it ideal for high-reliability installations in larger rockets.

microAlt 4600 & 9200 Logging Dual Event Altimeters

Optimized for “A” to “H” powered rockets, the microAlt 4600 operates to a maximum altitude of 4600 feet MSL, with a readout resolution of +/-20 feet. Peak altitude is reported audibly in units of feet. Also provides two high current outputs for firing ejection charges at apogee and 300 feet AGL, with audible continuity indication. Logs 19 seconds of flight data at 200ms intervals for download to your PC.

The PerfectFlite microTimer is a digital single-event timer suitable for firing ejection charges or airstarting auxillary/second stage motors. The time delay is set from 1 to 16 seconds by a set of jumper pads (not field adjustable), and triggering is accomplished via a breakwire or pull-pin. A bright LED provides visible igniter continuity status, and a low-resistance MOSFET switch provides up to 5A of current to the igniter.

9 Volt Rechargeable Battery Charger

SKU: BC9V

Slow charger for 9 volt rechargeable batteries insures a full charge without the possibility of premature shutoff due to false peaking that can occur with fast chargers. Recharge time of 10 hours for our #NC9V high current NiCad and 15 hours for our #NM9V long duration Nickel Metal Hydride battery. Runs on 110V, 60 Hz.

microAlt/microTimer NiCad Charger

Our NiCad battery charger has the proper connector for PerfectFlite ejection charge batteries preinstalled. It will fully charge batteries in 10-16 hours and will not damage the batteries if left on.

9V Silver Oxide Battery

Battery consists of six SR44 Silver Oxide button cells in plastic insulating sleeve. Will power the miniAlt/WD for up to eight hours and the StratoLogger for several days. Silver Oxide cells provide longer runtime and better performance in cold weather than alkaline cells.

Battery holder accommodates 9 volt Silver Oxide battery (#SO9V) and fits in 24mm body tube. Perfect companion for miniAlt/WD or StratoLogger in 24mm minimum diameter rocket applications.

9V NiMH Battery

High quality Nickel Metal Hydride rechargeable battery for use with our altimeters. Powers the miniAlt/WD for up to 14 hours and the StratoLogger for over 100 hours. This battery is designed for medium current applications and is not well suited for high current applications like motor igniters.

G Switch

"G" switch for triggering miniTimer3T or the microTimer2. Activates with 2.1G acceleration, normally open momentary contacts.

USB Data Transfer Kit

The PC/Mac USB data transfer kit incorporates level shifting and USB conversion circuitry to make the logic level signals from the altimeter compatible with standard USB ports. It also includes a USB A/B cable to connect to the host computer.

Push On / Push Off Power/Arming Switch

Double-pole double-throw contacts rated at 1 ampere. Contact sets can be wired in parallel for redundancy or can switch two independent circuits (e.g. arming switch for drogue and main). Can be wired to provide "ON" function when pushed in or when released. See miniAlt/WD manual for picture.

6 Volt Silver Oxide Main B attery

Required to power the microAlt altimeter’s electronics. 6V high capacity battery comprised of four SR44/357 cells in an insulating sleeve. Silver Oxide cells maintain high voltage throughout discharge, unlike Alkaline cells, for consistent accuracy and longer life. Twice the life of Alkaline cells! Provides power for up to 24 five minute flights.

9 Volt Rectangular NiCad Rechargeable Battery

High quality Nickel Cadmium rechargeable battery for use with our timers. Provides up to 20 amps of current (short duration). Terminal voltage remains above 5.5 volts with 5 amp load. Constructed of six high current cylindrical cells with high reliability spot welded connections. Optimized for high current rather than long duration low drain applications.

Ejection Charge Kit

The ejection charge kit contains all the materials (except black powder) to make six disposable ejection charges with igniters. Two plug-in sockets are supplied to facilitate quick installation in the field. Black powder not included. Instructions included, and are also available here.
